Adult Hockey

Chilled Ponds offers many levels of adult hockey instruction and competition to fit both your ability and your wallet.

Skaters new to hockey will benefit from our adult Learn-to-Play program where you will receive instruction on skating, stick handling, passing and shooting as well as the rules of the game.

Our competitive adult hockey program, Ponds Adult Hockey (PAH), offers leagues for every age and ability level. Players are individually rated to ensure that they are placed in the league that most closely matches their skill set.

Youth Hockey

Chilled Ponds has created the Hampton Roads Whalers to provide the premier youth hockey program in Southeastern Virginia. Working together, we instruct and develop youth hockey players beginning as early as age 4.

The wide variety of programs offer a hockey and educational experience to fit virtually any level of skill or commitment.

Our Basic Hockey Training program is committed to providing individuals and families with the opportunity to learn how to play hockey affordably. When you enroll in this program, you get everything you need to propel yourself and your children into competitive play.

The Chilled Ponds Hockey League (CPHL) is designed to provide new hockey players with the foundational skills needed as they progress through youth hockey. CPHL is a non-checking league at all age levels and is focused on hockey skills and teamwork. The CPHL is for all age groups; from Mite to Midget.

The Whaler Nation Tier II Travel Hockey Program teams compete at the B, A and AA levels in the Capital Beltway Hockey League (CBHL). Teams are fielded through a competitive tryout process and are chosen from the best players in the area. Since the this is the only travel hockey program in Southeastern Virginia, it attracts players from all cities in our region.
